We've always wanted our children to know their story; the story of their lives before they came into our family. We both knew that at some point we'd sit down and tell them all that we knew. This last weekend was when that moment happened.
Life doesn't always pan out the way we thought it would. Sometimes our hopes, dreams and prayers don't align with what we envisioned within our minds. But then there's God 💗 He always knows what's best. He took two children from a broken home and brought them into ours.
William Morris once said, "Have nothing in your houses that you do not know to be useful, or believe to be beautiful."
"Children are NOT a distraction from more important work. They are the MOST important work." - Dr. John Trainer
I know I’ve been quiet on social media lately. It’s not for not having things to share, it was simply me processing and preparing myself for today and this weekend. Today we leave to spend the weekend with our son at the treatment center. They have an apartment we will be staying in and our son will be staying with us there for the whole weekend. It will be the first time we will be together, in a home setting, since February.
